Pietragalla is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata.

PALMENTI PARK

It is an aggregation of over 200 buildings, examples of rural architecture, real laboratories for the production of wine, the result of the intuition and ingenuity of the Pietragallese winemakers.

These constructions, worthy testimony of the peasant civilization of the past, were in fact used for the pressing and fermentation of the must in special tanks (palmenti), then obtain the finished product (the wine), hence the denomination of palmenti.
