3 borders on the table

In the heart of Central Europe, there's a small yet symbolic place where three countries meet simultaneously. It's the triple border, or tripoint, marking the convergence of Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary. Located very close to the Slovakian town of Čunovo, this point has become a geographical curiosity combining art and a touch of humor. The site's main attraction is a triangular picnic table, designed so that each side aligns with a different country. The scene is simple yet striking: three people can sit together, chat, and yet technically be in three different nations. There are no walls, checkpoints, or visible barriers, just a symbolic line that invites reflection. More than a rigid boundary, the site functions as a small memorial park. Travelers and cyclists stop there to take photos, cross borders in a matter of seconds, and enjoy the idea of a shared table. In a continent with a history marked by divisions, this corner reminds us that borders can also be meeting points. An ideal place for neighborhood diplomacy: international disputes can be resolved without leaving the table.
